In November 2022, HoloKit was honored to be invited by Prof. Xiaojuan Ma of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at HKUST, to give a talk and demo to students at the HKUST HCI lab. Holo Interactive shared the inspiring story behind the development of HoloKit and showcased its remarkable capabilities. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase the HoloKit X to a diverse group of students in the field of XR.
The HKUST HCI lab also had the cardboard version of HoloKit, an open-source product developed by Botao Hu back in 2018. As a gesture of appreciation for the invitation and to further support their research, HoloKit presented the lab with two HoloKit X devices as gifts.
Prof. Ma expressed excitement about the creative opportunities that HoloKit X will offer for future research and applications, and we at HoloKit are delighted to have had the chance to collaborate with such an esteemed institution.
