Holo Interactive is proud to announce the beta release of the HoloKit SDK, designed to help Unity developers easily create Stereoscopic Augmented Reality projects with the added feature of hand tracking for more immersive interaction.
Upgrading AR to Stereoscopic AR Made Easy with HoloKit SDK
The HoloKit SDK offers two primary features that make it a valuable tool for Unity developers.
The first is Stereoscopic Rendering, which enables developers to upgrade a standard AR project into a Stereoscopic AR project with minimal effort. The SDK is fully compatible with ARFoundation, which makes it easy for developers to integrate Stereoscopic Rendering into their existing AR projects.
The second feature of the HoloKit SDK is Hand Tracking, which provides an interactive mode and input for Stereoscopic AR. The SDK uses Apple Vision Hand Tracking, and while it may not be perfect yet, Holo Interactive is continuously improving it. This feature is particularly useful for gaming and education applications that require user interaction.
To help developers get started with the SDK, Holo Interactive has provided two tutorials - one for each feature. Additionally, the SDK includes more easily developed AR functionality such as Background Video Enhancement. For more details and features, please refer to the documentation available on our website.
HoloKit SDK sparks Stereoscopic AR potential for all developers
The HoloKit SDK has already generated interest from prestigious universities including Stanford University, NYU, Harvard and MIT, as well as other platforms like XRMOD. It is suitable for all AR developers who want to try out Stereoscopic AR, which has potential in fields such as education, gaming, and marketing.
Getting Started with HoloKit SDK
