Holo Interactive, a leader in the field of augmented and mixed reality technology, is excited to announce that its paper titled MOFA: Exploring Asymmetric Mixed Reality Design Strategy for Co-located Multiplayer Between Handheld and Head-mounted Augmented Reality has been accepted to the curated Interactivity program of CHI 2023.

CHI, or Computer-Human Interaction, is the premier international conference for Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), bringing together researchers and practitioners from around the world to share the latest advancements in interactive digital technologies. This year, CHI will take place from April 23-28, 2023 in Hamburg, Germany, for the first time.

"We are thrilled to be a part of CHI 2023, which is a premier event in the field of human-computer interaction," said Botao Hu, CEO of Holo Interactive. "Our MOFA paper highlights the potential of asymmetric mixed reality design strategies for co-located multiplayer experiences between handheld and head-mounted AR devices, and we're excited to share our findings with the global HCI community."

The conference program includes a range of tracks, including Papers, Interactivity, and Panels, with a focus on promoting diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility in the field of HCI.

"Our team has worked tirelessly to develop the MOFA game and conduct research into asymmetric mixed reality design strategies, and we are honored to be presenting our work at CHI 2023," added Hu. "We believe that our research can contribute to the advancement of the field of HCI and inspire new and innovative approaches to mixed reality design."

Holo Interactive's MOFA game was developed for its HoloKit X headset, a stereoscopic augmented reality headset that combines a smartphone and a lightweight headset to create immersive AR experiences. The headset is compatible with Apple iOS devices and features LiDAR and ARKit support, enabling advanced mixed reality features.
